Aquilegia Biedermeier is an early-blooming dwarf columbine that produces pink, purple, light blue, and white flowers. The spurs project out behind the colorful flowers. Graceful, blue-green foliage adds a cooling effect when planted with heucheras and ferns.

Biedermeier columbine typically only grows to about 18 inches tall. Self-seeds where happy will quickly colonize garden areas without overpowering other plants. Plant, among other plants, will hide the foliage of aquilegia in the summer months when the foliage can appear worn and tired.

This columbine is grown from seed, so bloom colors will be mixed when first planting in the garden.
